Fujifilm LTO4 Ultrium4 Data Cartridge

The Fuji LTO4 tape cartridge or LTO Ultrium 4 data cartridge 71018 hold up to 800GB in native capacity and up to 1600GB or 1.6TB in compressed capacity. The Fuji LTO 4 tape can write the data at up to 120MB/second native or up to 240MB/second compressed. The Fuji LTO 4 cartridges have 896 tracks and a tape length of 820 meters. The Fujifilm LTO4 tape cartridge has a lifetime durability of 1,000,000 passes. A pass is each time the tape changes direction so a backup could have over 1,000 passes depending on the data written. The Fujifilm LTO4 cartridges are backward compatible and therefore suitable for read or write in all LTO4 or LTO Ultrium4 drives, suitable for read or write in all LTO5 or LTO Ultrium5 drives, and can be read only in LTO6 or LTO Ultrium6 drives.

Enhanced durability NANOCUBIC technology improves the smoothness of tape-surface, which helps extend the head-lifetime and outputs high durability by the decrease of error even in rigorous use. Encrypted For Security LTO Gen 4 systems will introduce for the first time to midrange tape storage the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256-bit encryption algorithms to keep data secure. The hardware-based AES 256-bit encryption capability of the new Gen 4 format offers higher level of security during storage and transporting of sensitive information.
