Description

The HP LTO 1 Ultrium Data Cartridge C7971A has a native capacity of up to 100GB and a compressed capacity of up to 200GB. The HP LTO-1 Ultrium Data Cartridge or C7971A is suitable for read and write in all LTO1 Ultrium1 drives, and also suitable for read/write in LTO2 drives and read only in LTO3 drives. Extreme environmental, drop, shock, and vibration tested, the tape is HP guaranteed for an archival life of 30 years.

All the drives that use HP LTO 1 C7971A tapes are recommended to use the HP LTO Universal Cleaning Cartridge C7978A to maintain the drive in top condition.
HP LTO-1 Ultrium data cartridges C7971A are designed to take full advantage of Ultrium technology and contains features that are exclusive to HP. HP Ultrium data cartridges feature active internal head cleaning, self-diagnostic capacities, cartridge memory and are designed for long life and superior reliability. The tape length is 609 m tape, their colour is blue and they are recommended for all Ultrium 1 compliant drives.

Storage & Operational Requirements for HPE LTO-1 Ultrium tape cartridges

LTO cartridges should not be used or stored outside these parameters

  • Operational Environment Temperature: 10-45 degrees centigrade
  • Short Term Storage Environment Temperature: 16-35 degrees centigrade
  • Archival Storage (long-term) Environment Temperature: 16-25 degrees centigrade
  • Wet Bulb Environment Temperature (Operational, Short & Long Term Storage): not to exceed 26 degrees centigrade max.
  • Operational Environmental Humidity: 10-80% relative humidity
  • Short Term Storage Environmental Humidity: 20-80% relative humidity
  • Archival Storage (long-term) Environment Humidity: 20-50% relative humidity

Warranty Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) global warranty warrants the user, that this media product is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use during the useful life of the product (the "Warranty Period"). If HPE receives notice of such defect during the Warranty Period, HPE will, at its option, either repair or replace such defective product. Cooperate with HPE in attempting to resolve the problem over the telephone. This may involve performing routine diagnostic procedures, installing additional software or patches, removing third party options and/or substituting options. Australia Warranty Policy HEWLETT PACKARD ENTERPRISE AUSTRALIA WARRANTY POLICY: YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS When you buy a good from Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a consumer, the good comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
