The HPE LTO Tape Drives come in a range of options including external or desktop drives, and internal tape drives installed in a server or rack mount unit.

The HPE LTO tape drives also have options of the various generations of LTO's like the latest HPE LTO-9 Ultrium tape drive with a maximum capacity of up to 18TB native and 45TB compressed data storage and uses LTO-9 Ultrium tapes to read and write to only.

The HPE LTO-8 Ultrium tape drive with a maximum capacity of up to 12TB native and 30TB compressed data storage and can read and write using LTO-8 and LTO-7 Ultrium tape cartridges. The HPE LTO-7 Ultrium tape drive with a maximum capacity of up to 6TB native and 18TB compressed data storage tape drive.
