Description
The IBM LTO4 WORM data cartridge or LTO Ultrium 4 WORM tape cartridge 95P4450 has up to 800GB native capacity at a transfer rate of up to 120MB/s, and up to 1.6TB compressed capacity at a transfer rate of up to 240 MB/s. The IBM LTO 4 WORM tape cartridge is green in colour, uses Metal Particle (MP) as it's storage particles, has 896 tracks and is 820m long. The IBM LTO 4 WORM tape is a Write Once Read Many (WORM) tape and suitable for backup and archive where you wish to keep the data unchanged, but can read the data as often as required. The IBM LTO 4 WORM tape cartridge is backward compatible and therefore suitable to be read and written to in all LTO4 or LTO Ultrium 4 tape drives, to be read and written to in all LTO5 or LTO Ultrium 5 tape drives and to be read only in LTO6 or LTO Ultrium 6 tape drives.

Drives that use the IBM LTO Ultrium 4 WORM data cartridges 95P4450 are recommended to use the IBM LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge 35L2086 to keep the drive clean.

IBM LTO CARTRIDGE STORAGE:
To prevent condensation and for long life, the IBM LTO4 Ultrium 4 WORM Data Cartridges should only be operated in or stored in the following conditions.
IBM LTO CARTRIDGE OPERATING ENVIRONMENT:
10-45 degrees Celsius/Centigrade and 20-80% Humidity
IBM LTO CARTRIDGE STORAGE ENVIRONMENT:
16-35 degrees Celsius/Centigrade and 20-80% Humidity
IBM LTO CARTRIDGE HANDLING:
Handle the IBM LTO Ultrium cartridge carefully. It may be damaged or degraded if it is dropped. Labels should be placed on the front side of the cartridge in the recessed area. Do not put labels anywhere else on the cartridge as this can damage the drive or cause load errors. When not in use IBM LTO cartridges should be stored and transported in their plastic clam-shell case. Do not store cartridges in direct sunlight.
