The LSI SAS 9207-4i4e PCI Express (PCIe®)-to-Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) host bus adapter (HBA) LSI00303, referred to as the LSI SAS 9207-4i4e HBA. This SAS card provides high-performance internal and external storage connectivity for servers and workstations to tape drives and tape libraries as well as other SAS connected hardware. The LSI SAS 9207-4i4e HBA provides eight lanes of 6Gb/s SAS connectivity and is matched with eight
lanes of PCIe 3.0 8Gb/s performance. The low-profile design of the SAS HBA includes a full-height bracket and
low-profile mounting bracket that creates a universal fit for any server. The LSI SAS 9207-4i4e HBA is based on the
Fusion-MPT™ architected LSI SAS 2308 controller that integrates the latest enhancements in PCIe 3.0 technology and 6Gb/s SAS technology. The LSI SAS 9207-4i4e HBA has onboard Flash memory for the firmware and BIOS.

• Provides one 4 M x 16-bit Flash ROM for storing the firmware and BIOS
• Uses sideband signals in multilane connectors to support serial general purpose input/output (SGPIO)

The LSI SAS 9207-4i4e HBA supports all major operating systems: Windows®, Linux® Red Hat®, Linux SUSE® Enterpris Server (SLES), Solaris™, VMware®, and FreeBSD®.

Ideal to connect a single LTO1-LTO8 tape drive, either internal or external, or a tape library with a single LTO1-LTO8 drive to a server or workstation via a mini SAS SFF8088 to miniSAS SFF8088 cable. One internal and one external ortape library tape drive can be connected in a single server or workstation. LTO-9 tape drives would need a miniSAS HD SFF8644 to miniSAS SFF8088 cable to connect as LTO9 tape drives have a miniSAS plug suitable for HD cables.
