Sony LTO6 Ultrium 6 2.5TB/6.25TB Data Cartridge LTX2500G

The Sony LTO6 or LTO Ultrium 6 Data Cartridge LTX2500G holds up to 2.5TB of data native capacity and up to 6.25TB of compressed data. The Sony LTO Ultrium 6 tape cartridge has a transfer rate of up to 160MB/sec while writing data in native or uncompressed capacity, and up to 400MB/sec while writing data in compressed capacity. The LTX2500G tapes have 2176 tracks, a tape length of 846 meters and a recording density of 384.6 kbits/inch. The tape has a lifetime durability of 1,000,000 passes. A pass is each time the tape changes direction so a backup could have over 1,000 passes depending on the data written.The Sony LTO 6 tapes are backwards compatible for read and write in all LTO6 or LTO Ultrium 6 drives and all LTO7 or LTO Ultrium 7 drives only.

Drives that use the Sony LTO Ultrium 6 data cartridges LTX2500G are recommended to use the LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridges to keep the drive clean.
