Description
The Oracle StorageTek T10000 T2 Tape Cartridge 003-5366-01 re-certified tapes are sourced and tested from single or minimum use sites and once certified are of the same or better quality than new tapes. The T10k T2 data cartridge achieve up to 5TB native capacity and up to 8.5TB compressed capacity and are designed for use in Oracle T10k C & D Drives. The Oracle StorageTek T10,000 T2 cartridges recertified come as standard blank T10k T2 tapes 003-5366-01, or labelled T10k T2 tapes 003-5366-01-L, but no longer are available labelled and initialised T10k T2 tapes 003-5366-01-LI.
Recertification of these Oracle T10k T2 cartridges occurs in the US using tapes that are now being retired from use. These are usually tapes written once or twice and stored long term. They pass a rigid testing regimen and are considered as good or better than new tapes due to this testing!
Oracle StorageTek has discontinued the production and sale of the T10,000 T2 data cartridges and therefore the recertified tape is the only tape we can get more of! These tapes are available to overseas buyers so please use "contact us" if you wish to purchase some, as our online store is only available to Australian and New Zealand buyers.
