Description
The Sony LTO3 Tape Cartridge or LTO Ultrium 3 Data Cartridge LTX400G holds up to 400GB of native capacity, with up to 800GB of compressed data. The Sony LTO Ultrium 3 data cartridge LTX400G has a transfer rate of up to 80MB/sec while writing data in native format and up to 160MB/sec while writing data in compressed format. The Sony LTO 3 LTX400G tapes are backward compatible and therefore able to be read and written to in all LTO3 or LTO Ultrium 3 drives, read and written to in all LTO4 LTO Ultrium 4 drives, and can be read only in LTO5/Ultrium5 drives. As we are an authorised distributor, all Sony products we sell have the support of the Australian warranty to protect your investment.
Sony LTO Ultrium tapes can be purchased individually, by the box of 5 or carton of 20.

Drives that use the Sony LTO Ultrium 3 data cartridges LTX400G are recommended to use the LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge to keep the drive clean.
The LTX400G tapes have 704 tracks and a tape length of 680 meters. The tape has a lifetime durability of 1,000,000 passes. A pass is each time the tape changes direction so a backup could have over 1,000 passes depending on the data written.The Sony LTO 3 tapes are suitable for use in all LTO3/Ultrium3 drives, LTO4/Ultrium4 drives and can be read in LTO5/Ultrium5 drives.
