The Sony Professional Digital Master HDV/DV 63min and for DVCAM 41min PHDVM-63DM single Digital Video cassettes use Cosmicnano Technology and are designed for use in the very highest quality Sony DVCAM/HDV/mini DV and other brands of high quality DV Camcorders. The Sony PHDVM-63DM is the highest Master quality DVCAM, Mini DV & DVM tape made by Sony with improved electrical properties and lower error rates, they will produce excellent results. The DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) layer and special lubricant ensures excellent storage stability and durability, even after repeated use. The Sony PHDVM-63DM cassette tape is 73m or 240 feet long and can be used in any HDV, Camcorder, Handycam, or Video Recorder bearing the HDV, Mini DV or DVCAM logo. Sony's Digital Master Quality tape is the only professional video tape with two 100% active magnetic layers for 90% fewer errors than consumer DV tape.

  • With two layers of active magnetic material, carrier to noise ratio is improved by 2dB.
  • The Digital Master Series gives 90% fewer errors and a 20% increase in C/N, so more signal comes off the tape during playback reducing the occurrence of errors.
  • Compared to standard Mini DV tape, Sony master tapes give 50% less dropouts.
  • Digital Master tape is more durable due to the 30% more Diamond Like Carbon coating.
